Main Responsibilities
The role of the demand planner is paramount in ensuring the availability of appropriate products while meeting the specific requirements of our clients and optimizing our production and distribution processes. This position requires a unique combination of analytical skills and coordination to successfully navigate the intricacies of supply and demand. Acting as a central pivot, the demand planner orchestrates dynamic exchanges with the sales department and/or clients, proactively anticipating their evolving needs at different stages of the process.
Duties
Your Daily Responsibilities:
Demand Planning (50% of your time):
- Develop effective sales forecasting models based on industry trends, historical data, and demand patterns.
- Propose and implement solutions to improve forecast accuracy.
- Consider production capacity, resource constraints, delivery deadlines, and quality requirements.
- Lead the S&OP process to align production goals with business strategies.
- Communicate demand forecasts and stock estimates to management and stakeholders.
- Develop demand forecasts at various levels for multiple time horizons.
- Analyze sales data, stock levels, and production schedules to identify issues and opportunities.
- Monitor key performance indicators related to production.
- Monitor and adjust forecasts based on real-time sales and market trends.
Resource Coordination (50% of your time):
- Collaborate with sales, customer, marketing, and production teams to gather information and align demand forecasts with business strategies.
- Support management in risk assessment and mitigation activities related to demand planning.
- Maintain stock levels to ensure product availability and optimal replenishment.
- Communicate forecast and stock estimates to management and relevant stakeholders.

Requirements
- University degree in business, logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a similar role.
- Experience in food retail or food industry.
- Fluency in both French and English, both talking and in writing.
- Proficiency in demand planning software and Microsoft Office suite.
- Knowledge of Sage X3 or similar advanced planning systems.
- Excellent organizational skills to effectively manage tasks and priorities.
- Ability to analyze and solve problems effectively.
- Aptitude for presenting and communicating results clearly.
- Leadership and influencing skills.
